Here is what you will do
VitalAire is currently recruiting a highly energetic and motivated Inventory Analyst for our Mississauga, ON location.
The Inventory Analyst will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels throughout the company, and providing assistance to all operational areas in relation to inventory processes and transactions.
The incumbent will provide assistance with implementing strategies and optimizing inventory levels by location, and ensuring that inventory transactions are accurate.
- Monitors inventory levels within the company to ensure inventory targets are achieved in conjunction with Procurement, Distribution and all Business Units.
- Compiles data, issuing reports, and metrics as required, including both month end and year end closing balances.
- Monitors, manages, and reports slow moving and obsolete stock.
- Assists with the redistribution of slow moving and surplus inventory, and the disposition of obsolete inventory.
- Leads the coordination and provides support for the semi-annual physical inventory count, ensuring pre-inventory procedures are followed, and assists with issues related to the physical count.
- Ensures all inventory transactions and processes operate accurately and efficiently, assists with troubleshooting when required.
- Ensures proper financial provisions are in place for obsolete / dead inventory write offs.
- Maintains policies and procedures related to inventory control and processing.
- Provides assistance, training, and support for inventory related activities to all operational areas.
- Present information / training to various sized groups using varied mediums (i.e. in person, Webex etc.).
Here is what you will need
- College Diploma or University Degree in relevant field an asset
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role
- APICS or SCMP, is an asset
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is essential. Knowledge of AS400 is an asset. Working knowledge of Gmail, Google tools including Docs, Sheets and Slides and internet
- Minimal travel across Canada may be required.
