SUMMARY
Repairs, replaces, and maintains, heating / cooling and ventilation equipment in corporation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Repairs or replaces components of steam heating systems, hydronic heating systems, such as pumps, traps, expansion tanks, air separators or valves.
Repairs major steam leaks throughout system, repairing or replacing steam or hot water heating piping and associated equipment as needed using caution to prevent burns or steam flashes to self or others.
Diagnoses and repairs malfunctioning, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
Repairs D.D.C. controls, pneumatic equipment, also gas and oil burner equipment.
Diagnoses E.M.S. cabling relays, transducers, modules and all related equipment of E.M.S. system.
Repairs or replaces radiators, univents, steam traps as needed.
Diagnoses malfunctioning gas or oil heating equipment
Repairs pneumatic controls, D.D.C. controls, E.M.S. cabling, relays, transducers and all related E.M.S. equipment. Must be able to communicate with Metasys, Seimens, and Andover systems from operator wor station or web site.
Occasionally assists boilermakers on repairs of pressure vessels.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in the use and operation of voltmeter, amp meter, and wattmeter necessary.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

H.V.A.C. License helpful.
Valid Indiana Driver's License.
