Retail Project Manager, PDS Projects

Position Overview : We are seeking a skilled and experienced New Build Retail Project Manager to lead ground up construction projects ranging in size from $2M to $6M.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of our new build projects (4 to 10 projects at one time), from the initial planning and design phase to the completion of construction.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in successfully delivering new build retail construction projects with comprehensive knowledge in out of the ground construction, along with exceptional project management and leadership skills

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage the planning, design, and execution of out of the ground construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans to drive project success.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to formulate and implement effective project strategies and plans.
  • Regularly evaluate project designs, plans, and specifications to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Oversee and coordinate the construction activities, including site preparation, foundation work, structural development, and all associated tasks.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and proactively resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction phase.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations, quality control standards, and project specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the procurement team to manage material and equipment sourcing, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders, communicating progress, risks, and mitigation strategies effectively.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to out of the ground construction, and apply this knowledge to enhance project outcomes.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field. (PREFERRED)
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering out of the ground construction projects, including ground-up development. (PREFERRED)
  • 5-10 years of experience in project management or construction (REQUIRED)
  • Deep knowledge of construction methods, entitlements, building codes, regulations, and industry standards. (REQUIRED)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional project teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, along with a solid understanding of construction project management principles and techniques.

Estimated total compensation ran for this position is :

95,000.00 120,000.00 USD per year

The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed.
