Position Overview :
The Shipper / Receiver employees are assigned tasks within the normal operation of a distribution center. The assigned tasks are repetitive in nature and acceptable proficiency can normally be attained within a few days.
One is normally assigned to a specific task’s area within the production flow of the garments.
Essential Functions :
- Create and maintain customer database & maintain various reports / spreadsheets
- Interface with AUCA internal customers
- Assist customer service by tracking packages / shipments
- Perform general clerical duties
- Package by hand a wide variety of products and materials for shipment.
- Use hand or mail handling machines to time stamp, open, sort, and route merchandise
- Duties may also include keeping necessary records and completed forms.
- Maintains department quality and production standards.
- Daily / weekly upkeep of equipment and facility (cleaning) as needed
- Must perform all tasks in a timely and accurate manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task
- Computer skills; including Excel, Word, and Outlook a must
- Detail oriented a must
- Good organizational skills a must
- Must have excellent attendance and performance
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
- Must be able to be forklift certified
- RF Gun experienced preferred
