User Interface Designer/Developer

We are seeking a User Interface Designer / Developer to join our IT Development team! The User Interface Designer / Developer will be responsible for the design of the website and mobile applications.

This position works with the various departments, their manager, and clients to understand design and user requirements so a visual mockup of an application can be developed in a timely and effective manner.

Additionally, the ability to modify the aesthetics of new and existing applications using a variety of applications is required.

This position is critical to the success of delivering quality web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities :

• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assist with the establishment and promotion of design guidelines, best practices, and standards to present to and share with the rest of the development team.
• Develop user interfaces for responsive websites using JQuery, Bootstrap, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS or other relevant technologies.
• Demonstrate best-practice knowledge and apply skills to deliver solutions that meet the project requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of current design practices, technology solutions, and trends.
• Conduct research and document workflows, usage scenarios, and feature design requests.
• Adhere to development practices and coding standards as set forth by the department and company.
• Communicate effectively with IT Management, team members, and business partners.
• Maintain and improve applications based on analysis and / or design requirements.
• Expected to perform and produce in a fast-paced development environment.
• Create clear and concise documentation, project deliverables, detailed status updates including estimates.
• Participate in collaborative discussions.
• Follow company and departmental procedures, guidelines, and standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, web design, or related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of UI / UX Design experience in web and mobile technology.
• Solid experience developing web pages quickly and effectively; accommodating responsive design and cross browser compatibility.
• Proficiency with UI / UX design best practices and methods for modern web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency in Bootstrap, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS and other standard UI frameworks
• Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, or other visual design tools.
• Solid organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
• Familiarity with , MVC and Visual Studio and IDE configuration.
• Employee is required to have at minimum an internet speed of 75 Mbps (standard high-speed internet access).

Working Conditions :

• Flexibility to work in an office and / or at-home, remote office environment.
• Schedule flexibility is occasionally necessary in this position. Individual may be required to attend key business / departmental meetings and / or perform certain business critical job functions outside of normal working hours.
• Physical Demands : Must be able to communicate internally and externally with both business users and development staff.

Competitive base pay starting at $90,868 is based on prior / relevant experience and skill level in a similar role.
