Reporting directly to and under the supervision of the Sr Product Manager, the Product Analyst’s primary purpose is to assist Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU) to live out our Vision, To be the members’ trusted financial partner.
The Product Analyst is instrumental in driving the success of GLCU's deposit accounts, digital products, payment solutions, and services.
Responsible for contributing to the development, enhancement, and management of a comprehensive suite of offerings that cater to the evolving needs of our members while aligning with the strategic objectives of GLCU.
This position requires an adequate understanding of financial products, digital trends, payments systems, and member requirements.
As a Product Analyst your duties will be :
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in deposit and digital products.
- Test product enhancements
- Analyze competitor offerings to inform strategic decisions.
- Collect and interpret data on member needs and preferences through surveys, focus groups, and data analytics.
- Assist in developing new deposit and digital products, while enhancing existing products.
- Collaborate with Marketing, IT, Operations, and Compliance to ensure products align with member needs and regulatory requirements.
- Develop product documentation, including business requirements, specifications, and user stories.
- Support product-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with goals.
- Champion the member experience by making sure products and services, especially payment solutions, are intuitive and user-friendly.
- Analyze product performance and member behavior to identify opportunities for growth, retention, and revenue generation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for all deposit accounts, digital products, payment solutions.
Requirements needed to be part of this team :
- One year to three years of similar or related experience
- 2-year college degree, or completion of a specialized study at school, or extensive in-house training
- Proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Experience with banking core systems, preferred
- Familiarity with Visa card services, preferred
