Our Finance / Accounting department has an excellent opportunity for a Financial Systems Report Analyst. This is a remote, exempt position that reports to the Financial Systems Manager and is responsible for preparing business documents and reports for upper management.
Work involves acquiring data from multiple sources, creating reports on a regular basis, correcting any code issues, and ensuring that databases remain error-free and organized.
Applicants should be familiar with programs such as Microsoft Management Studio, Microsoft Reporting Services, Microsoft SQL, Power BI, DAX, Analysis Services, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SharePoint, and SQL databases.
JavaScript a plus. This job is well-suited to people who are organized, have strong mathematical abilities, and work well as part of a team.
Responsibilities :
- Create and Maintain Stored Procedures, SQL Server Agent Jobs, Tables and Views.
- Create and maintain reports utilizing Microsoft Reporting Services. Modify reports when needed / requested. Create or modify Data Driven Schedules.
- Monitor daily and monthly financial report schedule. Satisfy ad-hoc reporting requests from management.
- Troubleshoot reporting errors and verify data validity as needed. Responsible for testing to ensure proper results and debugging or modifying existing reports and dashboards.
- Create and maintain user access and security roles.
- Create and maintain Dundas BI Dashboards as required.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience; equivalent combination of training and experience may substitute for education requirement.
Law firm or accounting experience highly desirable.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Expertise with MS SQL programming and Microsoft Reporting Services.
Exposure to dashboard development and knowledge of Power BI and Data Warehousing. Proven aptitude to learn new software applications.
- General knowledge of accounting principles, General Ledger and internal control concepts. Ability to demonstrate impeccable integrity in personal and fiduciary matters and exercise discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
- Ability to work with little supervision and collaborate with other members of the team. A tolerance for uncertainty and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work overtime when needed. Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.

The expected annual salary for this position ranges from $75,000-95,000. The salary offered will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to experience level, education / training, and relevant skills.
