Primary Responsibilities
- Lead complex hydrogeologic / environmental field investigations with a focus on complex geological settings commonly found in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region (, fractured rock and coastal plain)
- Oversee data collection, processing, analysis, and interpretation including :
- Field groundwater level and quality data collection methodsExperience with multiple drilling methods for various geological settings Familiarity with design, construction, and development of groundwater monitoring wellsDeveloping and overseeing high resolution site characterization strategiesUsing modern Remediation Hydrogeology concepts (such as mass flux / discharge or DNAPL assessment) to support complex groundwater remediation strategiesDevelopment of geologic and hydrogeologic cross-section development utilizing geologic and geophysical dataInterpretation of subsurface aquifer conditions on a site and regional scaleAquifer testing and analysisDevelopment of hydrographs and other graphic presentation of hydrogeologic dataBuilding Conceptual Site Models
- Field team leader responsibilities (field and office)
- Take responsibility for proposal and report writing, development of soil and groundwater sampling plans, data analysis, site remediation, as well as project and client management support
- Project management support including direction of junior staff, providing technical review, and oversight and mentoring
- Report and proposal preparation support including scopes of work, project budgeting, tracking, and schedules
- Client interaction and presentations
- Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Geology, Geosciences, Hydrogeology, Engineering, or closely related field
- 5 years related experience
- Strong technical knowledge and background in Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region geology and hydrogeology
- Experience designing and overseeing various drilling programs
- Experience supporting Superfund remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and design activities
- Knowledge of federal (, CERCLA, RCRA), New York (NYSDEC), New Jersey (NJDEP), and Connecticut (DEEP) environmental regulations, along with ASTM Phase I / II process
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Requires ability to travel; up to 50%; occasional extended fieldwork
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Geologist (PG) certification (NY or PA preferred), or pursuing PG
- Hold a professional license (, PG, NJ LSRP, PE, CT LEP), or pursuing
- Active in Professional Societies
- Experience with quantitative hydrogeology
- Familiarity with MODFLOW, MT3DMS, AQTESOLV and other numerical and analytical related software
- Experience implementing and assessing environmental remedial actions
- Local candidates preferred
