Veev has developed a vertically integrated approach that involves multi-disciplinary collaboration across real estate, design, development, engineering, manufacturing, and construction.

The Role

As we continue to expand operations, Veev's field construction division is seeking an exceptional Operations Manager of Construction to manage and lead teams and successfully deliver our products on time, within budget and with the highest of quality.

The Operations Manager will ensure all the successful operations of the Field division and help strategize for the future.

Responsibilities

In this role, the applicant will need to juggle various types of challenges, while demonstrating the ability to be multi disciplinary and flexible while thinking and acting with a sense of ownership and urgency.

• Oversees the day-to-day of directing, controlling and coordinating the operations activities to ensure timely, cost effective and quality delivery of our products.
• The Operations Manager will report directly to the Director of Field Ops and will present to the Executive-level for ongoing leadership reviews
• Collaborate with various departments to build weekly / monthly production and delivery schedules.
• Manage execution of day-to-day operations within parameters of both labor and operating expense budgets
• Lead the improvement of processes and drive enhanced levels of efficiency
• Ensure teamwork and alignment to guarantee a culture of synergy, engagement and transparency
• Study and analyze the field processes - from raw land, through foundation, assembly, and landscaping, all the way to finished home in order to identify areas in need of process improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, design, manufacturing and production teams to ensure seamless process of construction
• Enforce compliance of all company policies and procedures, safety rules and governmental regulations
• Travel between various job sites, the factory, and various vendors, as required
• Review and analyze expenditures, financial and operations reports to determine requirements for increasing profits and improving processes
• Be hands on as needed
• The successful candidate will be expected to bring creative problem-solving skills, a strong work ethic, and a dedication to excellence to the role

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in an operational or construction management role
• Ability to manage multiple complexities and tasks while thriving in a fast-paced startup environment
• Superior written and public speaking / verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to motivate and engage a team to produce high quality results
• Working knowledge of IT / Business infrastructure including MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, Oracle Netsuite, and typical project management tools
• Background in modular construction and / or heavy machinery, or interest in future of home construction is a plus

Compensation

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $130,000 - $160,000 annually for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas.
