PowerBuilder Developer

Hybrid-onsite 2 days / week

We are seeking a PowerBuilder Developer and IT Analyst with a strong background specialized in PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher) and possess advanced skills in T-SQL query writing for Sybase and MS SQL Server databases.

Day to day activities include data management, source control (TFS / Azure DevOps, GIT), unit testing, documentation, testing, production support, change management, software development and data integrity.

Roles :

• Some college preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline
• PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher)
• Work in a hybrid office
• Willingness to learn
• PowerBuilder Developer : Research and modify PowerBuilder source code to document the steps the application uses with data.
• T-SQL Query Writing : Resource must have a high level of SQL query writing skills to write complex queries to pull data from a Sybase and MS SQL Server database.
• Must have experience developing processes to extract and manipulate data to support data migration and data cleansing of application data.
• Data Management : Must have experience in performing data profiling, data mapping, data manipulation, validation, and analysis.
• Source Control : Must have experience working with source control technologies such as TFS / Azure DevOps, or GIT.
• Unit Testing : Must have experience documenting and performing unit testing to support program changes.
• Documentation : Must have experience creating, updating, and maintaining documentation for programs, system specs, and flow diagrams.
• Testing : Must be able to work with the client and / or Business Analyst to support test scenarios.
• Production Support : Analyze and document identified problems to determine root cause and provide root cause analysis.
• Change Management : Follow change management procedures and provide input to execute changes.

Required / Desired Skills

• Resource must have a high level of SQL query writing skills to write complex queries to pull data from a Sybase and MS SQL Server database (Required 10 Years)
• T-SQL Query Writing (Required 10 Years)
• Must have experience documenting and performing unit testing (Required 10 Years)
