ForeFlight is seeking a talented Senior Product Manager to work with our Military Aviation team. This individual will be responsible for defining the roadmap and leading development of Military Flight Bag, our flagship iOS product.

Our Senior Product Managers work closely with cross-functional colleagues across business intelligence, marketing, design, and engineering to drive measurable outcomes for our customers and business, as we continue to define the future of aviation technology.

What you will do :

  • Own and drive ForeFlight’s strategic direction and roadmap for the Military Flight Bag product
  • Write product definitions that communicate the vision, goals, and objectives of an offering to our engineering teams and relevant stakeholders
  • Work across teams to integrate Military Flight Bag into comprehensive software and data suites and holistic customer-focused solutions
  • Ensure excellent product performance in all operational environments
  • Evangelize evidence-based roadmaps and plans to grow our market share and offerings
  • Analyze customer usage trends to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Interface with parent company on strategy development and implementation
  • Identify market potential, establish pricing and market strategies, estimate potential sales, introduce market / distribution / channel issues, and manage mature products through phase-out
  • Participate in overall company product strategy
  • Perform market analysis and research
  • Participate in training events and customer site visits
  • Produce competitive analysis materials comparing a product with its key competitors
  • Define and drive go-to-market strategies plus external and internal programs to ensure business success

What you need :

  • Military experience required, with preference for direct military aviation experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Private pilot’s license or military equivalent strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated success in delivering products and driving business results at a technology company
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Effective leadership by influence and cultural fit with cross-functional software development teams
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with data analysis, experimentation, and market research
  • Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers' concerns or objections, in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly independent with the ability to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to mentor and coach Product Managers, and lead cross-functional teams effectively
  • A specialist in complex technical and business matters

Requires relocation to greater Austin, Texas or Portland, Maine area. Hybrid remote available for exceptional candidates.
