Our 12-month,comprehensive, transition-to-practice program facilitates yourprogress from student to professional nurse through education,mentorship and peer support.
Our Nurse Residency program preparesnew graduate nurses by teaching the knowledge, skills and behaviorsthat are necessary to continuously improve quality and safety atthe point of care.
It combines precepted orientation, led bydedicated preceptors, with blended learningexperiences.
Nurse residentswill :
- develop the clinical judgmentneeded to rapidly recognize a change in patients condition and theurgency of a clinical situation
- cultivateexcellent communication skills, allowing them to engage withcolleagues and support patients
- enjoy cohortexperiences designed to promote peer and professional socializationand strengthen your professional commitment tonursing
- learn didactic content specificallytailored to new graduates from professional nursingorganizations

RESPONSIBLEFOR : The staff nurse provides nursing care topatients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursingprocesses to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care forpatients.
He / she functions within the framework of the policies andprocedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growthand accountability.
The staff nurse is responsible for maintainingstandards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of allassigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications :
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED : Graduate of a nursing program
MINIMUMEXPERIENCE REQUIRED : New Graduates of a nursing programeligible
MINIMUM LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONREQUIRED BY LAW : Current License in the State of Georgia as aRegistered Nurse BLS certificationrequired.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor'sdegree preferred Advanced certification in field of specialty, ifapplicable
