Commissioning Manager

We partnered with an industry leading EPC firm to identify a Commissioning Manager for Power and Industrial projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and recommend commissioning solutions to the Project Manager or client, ensuring effective start-up of refinery projects.
- Provide solutions and support to Project Managers to address client needs, with a focus on quality, safety, and cost-effective commissioning methods.
- Oversee troubleshooting efforts, developing and implementing plans to resolve operational and functional issues during commissioning.
- Ensure all commissioning and start-up activities are conducted safely and in compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Conduct commissioning demonstrations, simulating real-world conditions to verify correct operation and performance of refinery systems and equipment.
- Develop and execute detailed commissioning and start-up procedures, aligning with refinery processes and operational requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support on complex or unusual issues to ensure consistency with client design standards.
- Mentor and guide commissioning technicians, offering technical support on refinery systems and equipment.
- Establish and oversee project-specific and departmental commissioning requirements.
- Ensure adherence to QA / QC processes during commissioning and start-up phases.
- Regularly meet and correspond with clients and stakeholders, independently managing technical matters related to commissioning activities.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in commissioning, completions, start-up, or operations within the refinery or petrochemical or power generation industries.
- Familiarity with refinery systems, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Additional experience preferred in troubleshooting processes, instrumentation, and quality control.
