Job Description : Interventional Radiology Technician / Tech
Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, body-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist.
Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of with nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons. -Groin management post-intervention.
Education Requirement :
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Required Certifications & Licensure : ARRT license required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :
- Must have years of experience.
- Interventional Radiology experience is required.
- Minimum year prior experience as a licensed Radiology Tech required.
- Strong knowledge of Floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines.
- The ability to identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases.
- The ability to critically think during interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist.
- The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical records and send images to Sectra / PACs system.
- Strong communication skills using closed-loop communication.
- The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for caseload.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to professionally and effectively communicate information to patients required.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks required.
Schedule Notes : hr Day shifts a week.
- Mandatory Call.
- Call requirements are every - weeks- they are on call for days starting Monday pm- Monday am.
- Must be able to report to the hospital within minutes for Traumas.
