Maintenance Technician II - Lawrence, Kansas

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Maintenance Technician II in our Lawrence, KS location.
Shift : Monday through Thursday 7am - 5 : 30pm
A Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing a variety of technical duties related to mechanical, electrical, preventative maintenance and fabrication functions.
In this journey level position, the technician would work under general supervision, independently performing the essential functions at an advanced level.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Troubleshoots equipment issues in production environment.
- Troubleshoot and or repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components.
- Provides support in areas of fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting, pipefitting, and machining.
- Work from oral and written instructions.
- Understand and comply with all parts ordering and issuing procedures.
- Maintains adherence to company policy, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
- Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
TYPICAL DUTIES :
- Diagnose equipment failures.
- Performs repairs on equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance tasks.
- Basic knowledge in the areas of fabrication, assembly, welding, cutting pipefitting and machining.
- Basic knowledge of operating production equipment for diagnostic purposes.
- Knowledge of electrical controls.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS) :
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 4 Years maintenance experience in production environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Requires ability to do mechanical work on ladders, scaffolding and scissor lifts.
- Requires ability to do extended amounts of walking.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
