Position Overview
The Associate Strategic Sourcing Manager represents Exact Sciences Operations, R&D, and Clinical Labs when engaging with external suppliers and strategic partners.
This role engages with corporate supplier relationships on behalf of the enterprise. It is the second highest escalation point for Suppliers to engage with Exact Sciences, providing guidance to peer teams engaged in daily supplier engagement.
This role is expected to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to focus on executing critical contractual documentation.
The Associate Strategic Sourcing Manager performs due diligence on the supplier market, monitors supplier performance, and proactively engages with suppliers in partnership with other teams.
The scope and focus of work will vary and require working with a diverse team of cross-functional stakeholders and executives.
Areas of focus include supplier onboarding, sourcing event execution, supplier due diligence, and contract creation. A sourcing, procurement, or category-specific subject matter expertise background is required for this role.
Essential Duties
Include but are not limited to the following :
- Responsible for RFx information management, supplier engagement, contract initiation.
- Performs data analysis, market intelligence gathering, supplier negotiations / contracting.
- Represents Exact Sciences to the face of the supplier, escalating external supplier engagements and sourcing events.
- Accountable for performance monitoring of category budgets
- Determine optimal source of supply by performing competitive analyses on current suppliers.
- Support the execution of request for proposals (RFx) by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Own the RFx data read-out to leadership / stakeholders
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with multi-level personnel, business owners, leaders.
- Advise Supplier Relationship Managers on supplier strategy prior to engagement
- Participate in contract negotiations to set supplier expectations.
- Act as a point of escalation for Procurement and Supplier Management on topics related to contracts.
- Ability to quickly develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers.
- Ensure sourcing standards are followed across the organization through education to impacted departments.

- Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
- Ability and means to travel between local Madison Exact Sciences locations.
- Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight / weekend travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in any aspect of Supply Chain Management, Life Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of demonstrated work experience commensurate experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, or a field related to the essential duties.
- Exposure to GMP facilities, equipment, and processes.
- Familiarity with negotiation principles, including a working understanding of contractual terms and conditions and risk mitigation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional industry experience.
- 1+ years of sourcing operations (RFx, analyses, etc) experience.
- Experience with SAP and Coupa.
- Experience working in regulated systems (ISO 13485 / 15189, CAP / CLIA).
- Experience with international supply channels and customers.

Salary Range :
$67,000.00 - $109,000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis.
In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
