Job Title : Registered Nurse - PCU Job Specialty : ED Hold / Acuity Adaptable Float Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Night 4x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : 4, 12-hour shifts - 48 hours in one workweek Experience : 3 years required, must have 3-4 travel assignments completed License : IN State License / Compact License required and must be in hand Certifications : BLS, ACLS, and NIH required Must-Have : - Telemetry skills - IV Starts experience - Cardiac drips - Proficiency in Cerner Job Description : Float among Acuity Adaptive Units.
- Provide PCU / MedSurg level of care for patients housed in the ED awaiting transfer.- Manage high patient admission, discharge, and transfers.
- Work every other weekend.- Must adhere to the requirement of working 2 out of 3 major holidays.- Floating as required to meet facility needs.
- Previous travelers only, first-timers not accepted.- Vents experience preferred.- Cerner charting required. Additional Requirements : Flu Vaccine : Required (Medical / Religious exemptions only)- Must have graduated from an accredited university (ACEN or CCNE).
