We are currently seeking a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join as a Staff Accountant
Overview
The Staff Accountant is a mid level position that supports a senior accounting department in various tasks, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting.
Responsibilities :
- Accounts Payable : Maintain an accurate accounts payable tracker as invoices are received from vendors.
- Month-End Close : Prepare journal entries for monthly G&A allocations.
- Annual Tasks : Prepare and send 1099 and 1096 forms to IRS by January 25th
- Quarterly Tasks : Review all processes and provide suggestions for improvement.
- Accounts Receivables : Reconcile the receipt of payments and process deposits.
Qualifications / Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting
- Familiarity with accounting software (Quickbooks, Sage100 or NetSuite)
- MS Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Complete an online accounting-based assessment
- CPA is Preferred but not Required
- Shopify Experience preferred
