About this opportunity :
Helps to identify evangelist outreach ideas to Temple Corps community. Communicates necessary information to appropriate parties.
Leads and participates in program reviews determining effectiveness of program offerings. Network and partner with various community organizations, churches, and agencies to secure program support and gain ideas.
Key responsibilities :
Works with the Corps Officer to create a vision for the expansion and growth of the Atlanta Temple Corps by investigating new programs or the expansion of current activities.
Helps to identify evangelist outreach ideas to the Temple Corps community.
Develops and maintains a close working relationship with the Corps Officers, Local Officers, and volunteers to collaborate on the overall ministry and program needs of the Corps and the community they serve.
Work with the Corps Officer and Local Officers to assess and address unmet needs and explore opportunities to advance the mission of the Army in this Corps and community, and to strengthen, enhance, expand, and integrate Corps programs and services.
Leads and participates in program reviews determining effectiveness of program offerings, financial health of programs, staffing, and coverage needs;
makes program recommendation.
Attends and participates in public functions with community professionals to increase public awareness and interest; may serve on committees or participate in community activities;
serves as guest speaker; works with pertinent community organizations liaisons to cultivate our mutually beneficial relationship.
Recruits and participates in the screening and selection of volunteers, local officers, and Soldiers to ensure adequate staff is maintained to meet program needs
Identifies and leads special needs initiatives and other outreach programs; recognizes funding opportunities and works with Youth Leaders, Corps Mission Associates-CMA, Officers, and Area Command in development opportunities
What are we looking for :
Bachelor's degree in Christian education, Ministry, or related field; master's degree preferred
A minimum of five years' experience in program development, with three years supervisory experience
or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
And a uniform wearing Salvationist in Good Standing
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.
5-10% of work time. Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
