Legal Writing Project Attorney

We are working with a law firm which has just been retained to assist on a matter in California state court. The case is being litigated on an expedited basis, with trial scheduled for December, with no discovery having yet been taken.

There is a response to an Motion for Summary Judgment (MSJ) brief and an amended complaint due in two weeks.

The situation requires the following.

  • An experienced litigator with excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Experience drafting briefs and complaints.
  • Preferably with experience in California state court.
  • Likely 20-30 hours per week through mid-December, with some weeks having heavier workloads (e.g., the next two weeks)

The compensation for the writing position is $100-$150 / hr depending upon experience and $150-$225 / hr for overtime.
