Quality Control Analyst
Bedford Park, IL 60501
Monday - Friday, 6PM to 4AM (Overnights + Overtime to be expected)
Pay : $20-22 / HR
Duration : 6 month contract to direct hire
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, or related sciences OR equivalent combination of hands on relevant work experience
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Availability for occasional weekend and after-hour coverage.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct analytical tests independently and accurately as outlined in test procedures.
- Collect and test samples within the expected timeframe, ensuring proper storage.
- Gather samples of incoming supplies, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Perform non-routine procedures with minimal supervision.
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and legible test records in accordance with company policy and record-keeping procedures.
- Adhere to all safety and quality guidelines following Good Laboratory Practices and lab safety requirements.
- Ensure a clean work area and maintain a safe work environment.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by laboratory management.
- Support operations by maintaining a communication log and transferring information to lab personnel to meet customer requirements.
- Assist in maintaining the lab's validated state.
- Help with equipment maintenance, including routine maintenance and resolving common issues with instruments.
- Collaborate with a technical team in a multicultural and diverse work environment to achieve common goals.
