Job Summary :
The Logistics and Distribution Analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing the logistics and distribution processes within the company’s supply chain.
The role involves data analysis, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions to improve transportation, inventory management, and overall distribution performance.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain principles, and experience in logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze logistics data, including transportation costs, delivery times, and inventory levels to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the logistics and supply chain teams to develop strategies to optimize distribution routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery efficiency.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to shipping, warehousing, and distribution processes.
- Develop and implement logistics models to forecast demand, inventory needs, and transportation requirements.
- Assist in the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
- Work closely with third-party logistics providers to ensure optimal service levels and cost efficiency.
- Review and analyze freight invoices to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new logistics technologies, tools, and systems to improve efficiency.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management to support decision-making and provide insights on logistics performance.
- Support the continuous improvement of logistics processes through data-driven recommendations and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including transportation and safety standards.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TMS, WMS) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles, including inventory management, transportation, and warehousing.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers is a plus.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience in transportation modeling, route optimization, and cost analysis.
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
- Understanding of international logistics and customs regulations.
