• If you live in San Diego County : Hybrid Position , 3-days per week onsite, 2-days remote (upon completion of training)
• If you live outside of San Diego County : We will consider remote candidates, but only candidates who live outside of San Diego County.

Hours : Monday-Friday, 8 : 30-5 : 00

Exempt : $75,000-110,000 Base Salary. Position eligible for additional incentives including Bonus, 401(k) match, health and welfare benefits, amazing culture, growth opportunity and more!

National Funding is continuing to grow and has a great opportunity for a Senior Accountant. National Funding is a stable, fast-growing fintech company in the UTC area.

The Senior Accountant’s primary responsibility is to oversee and manage various financial aspects of the organization. This position will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and maintenance of the financial records, performing general ledger reconciliations, assisting in the month-end close process, and other duties assigned.

What You’ll Be Doing :

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards and policies.
• Assist in the review of AP pay runs.
• Coordinate and participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to enhance financial performance.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
• Execute and / or provide the necessary oversight for daily and monthly ACH, Loan, and Lease transactions.
• Collaborate with the Director and other organizational team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
• Respond to inquiries from the CFO, Director, and other organizational team members regarding specific financial results.
• Support the Director with ad hoc financial analysis & reporting as needed, providing insights and recommendations to management.
• Assist and support budget and forecasting activities.

An Ideal Candidate Looks Like This :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4-6 years of progressive general ledger experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Prior experience in Great Plains.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

Physical Demands :

• Working in a temperature-controlled office environment.
• Sitting at a desk for long periods of time while viewing multiple computer screen monitors.
• Potential lifting of boxes around 5-10lbs.
