Job Title : Long-Term Substitute Chemistry Teacher

Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long-Term Substitute Chemistry Teacher to provide instructional continuity and support for our students during a temporary absence of the regular teacher.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in teaching chemistry at the high school level and will be able to deliver engaging and effective instruction while maintaining a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Instructional Delivery :
Deliver high-quality chemistry lessons aligned with the existing curriculum. Prepare and present engaging instructional materials and hands-on activities.
Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students. Utilize various teaching methods and technology to enhance learning.
Classroom Management :
Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment. Implement and enforce school policies and procedures. Manage student behavior in accordance with school guidelines.
Assessment and Evaluation :
Assess student progress and provide regular feedback on performance. Grade assignments, quizzes, and tests in a timely manner.
Provide support and interventions for students needing extra help.
Collaboration :
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff. Collaborate with other teachers to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
Attend and participate in staff meetings and professional development as required.
Administrative Duties :
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance and grades. Prepare and submit required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
Qualifications : Education :
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field preferred
Experience :
Previous experience teaching high school chemistry is highly desirable.
Skills :
Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts and curriculum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and motivate students.
Proficiency with educational technology and tools.
Physical and Environmental Conditions :
- Ability to work in a classroom setting and perform physical activities such as setting up lab experiments.
- Flexibility to adapt to various classroom environments and student needs.
