Reports To : Club Director or Senior Club Director
Job Summary : The Assistant Club Director supports the Club Director in overseeing the operations and programs of ULBGC Barreto Club.
This role involves assisting with program development, staff supervision, and administrative tasks to ensure a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for youth.
The Assistant Club Director will also play a key role in community outreach and ensuring the implementation of high-quality programs.
Key Responsibilities :
Program Support and Implementation :
- Assist in designing, implementing, and evaluating youth development programs.
- Support the delivery of programs that promote education, health, character, and leadership.
- Ensure programs are inclusive and aligned with the Boys & Girls Club's mission.
- Help monitor and assess program outcomes to ensure quality and impact.
Staff Supervision and Development :
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising club staff and volunteers.
- Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure effective program delivery.
- Help coordinate ongoing professional development opportunities for staff.
- Assist in evaluating staff performance and providing feedback.
Youth Engagement and Safety :
- Ensure the club provides a safe and positive environment for all members.
- Promote positive behavior and resolve conflicts among members.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on member participation and incidents.
Administrative Support :
- Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting.
- Help manage the club’s budget and monitor expenses.
- Assist in preparing reports for funding agencies, stakeholders, and key stakeholders.
- Support the development and implementation of strategic plans.
Community Outreach and Partnership :
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with community partners, schools, and local organizations.
- Represent the Boys & Girls Club at community events and meetings.
- Support the promotion of the club’s mission and programs in the community.
- Help identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants and donations.
Member and Parent Engagement :
- Foster strong relationships with club members and their families.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about club activities and member progress.
- Address parent concerns and provide information about club programs and services.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, or a related field.
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with youth in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with youth, staff, and community partners.
- Experience in program planning and implementation.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the Boys & Girls Club.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Work Environment :
- The role requires flexibility, with some weekends needed for programs, events, and meetings.
- The Assistant Club Director will work in both an office environment and in various program settings within the club and community.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and participate in activities for extended periods.
