CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - EDUCATION
Part Time (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)
$16.00 an hour, approximately 24 hours per week
The Customer Service Representative will provide high quality customer service to Education department clients and all other visitors.
Will effectively communicate Center policies and procedures to the public in a positive manner, promptly respond to all communications, including but not limited to, email, phone calls, voice mail, and face to face contacts and coordinate Education programs with client schedules, creatively scheduling multiple on-site and off-site programs to maximize efficiency of staff hours for a given day.
Administrative duties also include overseeing program accounting and revenue, maintaining accurate and complete electronic and hardcopy files, and prompt filing of all required materials.
Stay knowledgeable and current on all Education programs and assist with the marketing and preparation of these programs.
During camp, responsibilities also include assisting with camp operations and campers' behavioral issues. Attend to the safety and well-being of animals and guests while keeping current in knowledge about domestic and wild animals, the natural environment and other related topics in humane education.
Maintain compliance with Center policies and procedures. Perform all duties in accordance with established Center safety standards.
Participate in Center activities and events as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE :
High school degree or equivalent required. One year previous customer service experience preferred. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with a high level of attention to detail.
Must be computer literate. Experience working with children and adults in a group setting preferred. Excellent planning, organizational, prioritizing, and time management skills.
Must possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills along with professionalism, courtesy, tact and sound judgment.
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Creative conflict-solving skills necessary.
Ability to use positive techniques for handling disruptive people of any age. Valid CA driver's license and good driving record.

Employee must demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
As this position may require driving duties, employee must possess a valid CA Driver's License. Employee must complete a Driver Information Form and provide a recent DMV Driving Record Report to be kept on file, as well as proof of insurance;
employment contingent upon the completion and acceptance of this form.
95% of this job is conducted indoors under normal office conditions and 5% of this job is conducted outdoors.
