Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to join our team. The SDR will be the first point of contact for potential customers, responsible for generating interest and setting up qualified appointments for our Sale Closers to complete.

This role requires grit and a strong desire to succeed. By cold-calling schools nationwide, you’ll play an integral role in building our sales pipeline and business!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make a high volume of outbound calls and emails daily
  • Research, identify, and prospect for new clients to help build our database
  • Qualify leads based on specific criteria to determine their suitability for further sales engagement.
  • Strive to convert all qualified prospects, meeting needs-analysis criteria, into booked appointments for Closer Sales staff
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads
  • Full understanding of core products across different verticals and the ability to discuss benefits while focusing on customer needs
  • Articulate the value proposition of Edlio to decision-makers to assess buying interest.
  • Monitor progression toward individual and team goals via reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions and appointments in Salesforce
  • Follow up and schedule appointments
  • Analyze target territories and areas our company can make the strongest impact
  • Proactive in identifying and developing new business
  • Fostering and maintaining a cohesive, productive and collaborative relationship with both the Marketing and Sales teams will become a priority for this role

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a sales role, preferably in a similar industry
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a confident phone presence
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Self-starter, self-motivated and disciplined with a results-driven approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Strong oral and written presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proactive in identifying and developing new business from telephone, email and other sales inquiry methods
