Our client, specializing in renewable energy generation, energy efficiency, and integrated services, is seeking a Financial Reporting Lead.
This role will be responsible for compiling and delivering financial statements compliant with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Compile and review financial reporting packages to ensure adherence to IFRS and US GAAP, as well as contractual partnership requirements.
- Coordinate statutory and external audits, preparing necessary working papers and draft disclosures.
- Develop resource plans to meet reporting and audit deadlines while identifying process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Engage with business units, including accounting, operations, business development, and asset optimization teams, to address special requests and ensure seamless reporting processes.
- Liaise with the Technical Accounting team to ensure compliance with evolving IFRS standards and to quantify financial impacts of new accounting rules on reporting and partnerships.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with extensive knowledge of financial statements.
- 7+ years' experience in external audit or financial reporting, with at least five years in the energy sector or related accounting for tax equity partnerships.
- CPA certification is preferred or in progress.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel, and accounting software like SAP S4 HANA and Adaptive Insight.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential for managing multiple assignments and deadlines effectively.
