Position Summary :
The Manager, Supply Chain is an individual contributor that helps manage the sustaining supply chain at the contract manufacturer.
He / She will collaborate with the F5 supply chain team to manage Sustaining and NPI supply, monthly cost claims, part shortages & escalations, and will help lead inventory reduction and raw material replenishment related projects.
The Manager, Supply Chain should be adept at managing contract manufacturers, and should have a commanding understanding of Excel, VBA, with some statistical background and experience with Tableau or PowerBI.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Drives materials procurement activities and supplier management to assure production readiness and maintain desired performance and costs.
Manages and oversees supply chain execution by Contract Manufacturers.
Oversee the development and material planning aligning schedules for manufacturing activities and specific schedules; monitor schedule statuses, identify alternative opportunities to mitigate shortages, and address problems which may cause schedule impacts.
Identify cost reduction and inventory mitigation opportunities, where applicable, and works with the CM for execution, inclusive of capturing cost reductions from other areas of the business into the pricing model.
Partner with operations / business teams to consult, develop and implement KPI’s, automated reporting / process solutions, and process improvements to meet business needs.
Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions.
Manage safety stock of long lead, critical electrical components to assure availability for the production schedule and upside protection.
Collaborate effectively with peers to deliver on mission critical objectives.
Deliver improved P&L outcomes through continuous process improvement and by employing lean principles to improve operational effectiveness and reduce costs.
Complete Ad-Hoc analysis
Collaborate with S&OP team to reduce inventory shortages, improve forecast accuracy, and ensure customer requirements are met.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Extensive knowledge and expertise within electronics industry supply chain management / operations.
Experience managing contract manufacturers in an outsourced manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of supply chain management, sourcing & replenishment methods, and services and inventory management
A Passion for data driven process improvements
Able to demonstrate success in driving process improvements
Team player with deep cross-group collaboration and project management skills, with experience developing efficient work plans for complex projects involving many groups, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving aptitude : ability to collect facts, analyze large data sets using advanced capabilities with analytical tools (e.
g., Excel, Access, etc.) to provide strategic and actionable intelligence to the Director of Supply Chain
Willing to make tough / unpopular decisions and "hold their own" with other functions and the ability to influence and embrace cross functional teams.
Qualifications
B.Sc. in Supply Chain or Business with a Supply Chain concentration. MBA preferred.
Minimum 10 plus Years of related experience in high technology Enterprise level supply chain management managing spend >
USD$100 million
Experience with managing in a remote and global workforce environment will be beneficial in this role
CPIM, CPM Certifications preferred
Leadership experience preferred
Familiarity with Sarb Ox compliance requirements from a supply chain perspective
