As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will play a pivotal role in driving the initial stages of the sales process.
Positioned at the top of the sales funnel, you'll engage with potential leads, often serving as the first point of contact.
This role requires an outgoing and personable approach, as you'll interact with a diverse range of individuals across different regions throughout the globe.
Your primary responsibility will be to qualify incoming leads from various sources such as the website, in-person events, or referrals.
You’ll assess whether these leads are a good fit for our products or if they should be directed to a partner or the appropriate internal team.
In this sales-facing role, you'll leverage your organizational skills and hospitality mindset to ensure a smooth lead qualification process.
You will provide initial quotes before collaborating with the ASM (Customer Care) team to assist with pricing. Cold calling is also a key aspect of the role, where you'll utilize provided templates and the Sandler Training Methodology to guide your conversations.
This role requires a self-starter mentality with a keen eye for identifying qualified leads. Experience in GIS is preferred, and proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

What You’ll Be Doing :
- Articulate the value of Maxar’s geospatial solutions to customers across multiple vertical use cases and applications; including energy, visual simulation, telco, Agriculture, Utilities and Environmental industries
- Prospect and qualify leads that are ingested into our lead queue, giving product demos when necessary
- Uncover new prospective customers trends for Maxar’s solutions
- Effectively pass leads to Sales Managers, Partners, or pursue with our ASM team
- Building relationships from leads to current customers
- Outbound and prospect customers via campaigns and market industry research
Minimum Requirements :
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of related GIS experience required, or equivalent
Preferred Requirements :
- Interest in the geospatial and location-based services industry and the markets Maxar serves
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Experience with GIS, mapping, and / or imagery preferred
- Fluent in Portuguese or Spanish

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience.
The range for this position is :
$56,000.00 - $94,000.00 annually.Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and / or individual results achieved;
the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
