Job Description
The Level 5 Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the verification of system performance of automated projects in relation to the contractional specifications.
The job responsibilities include the record retention of, communication of, and resolution of items found out of compliance.
The Level 5 engineer will collaborate with internal business partners, material-handling vendors, conveyor manufacturers, electrical control manufacturers and consultants to ensure compliance with UPS contracts and design requirements.
In addition, the Level 5 engineer will be scheduled and responsible for providing remote troubleshooting of systems for accuracy and performance to local UPS facilities.
This position requires 100% travel.
Knowledge and Skills
UPS Automation : Demonstrates a strong understanding of UPS automation processes and recommends appropriate actions for resolution.
Able to understand and UPS design data, system flows and contractual information for the assurance of adherence.
Vendor / Supplier Management : Demonstrates a broad understanding of UPS and vendor business needs and goals; reviews and recommends appropriate vendors based on business needs to internal stakeholders;
provides input into the creation of vendor contracts or agreements; communicates expectations to vendors.
- Meticulous with the ability to distinguish between big picture concepts and detailed facts, while ensuring tasks are completed accurately and with appropriate level of detail to impact of end goals.
- Excellent written and oral communications, and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with both internal and external partners.
Specific Software / Application experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, and Outlook)
