Overview
The Recreation Attendant is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the Recreation department. They will ensure positive and friendly guest relations at all times and will observe all activity within assigned areas offering assistance and instruction to guests.
The Recreation Attendant shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the La Cantera Resort Culture as well as promoting La Cantera Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice! ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCIONS Assists with activities, kids club, slides, retail, or other recreation-related departments as needed.
Promote slide safety and report hazards immediately. Timely opening and closing of swimming pool area including towel bar, pool seating areas, and slide.
Operation and maintenance of pool cleaning equipment and supplies. Answers phone calls and all guest inquiries. Maintain overall presentation of the Pool Shop, Kids Club, Tennis Court and activity areas.
Maintain cleanliness of storage areas. Be alert and aware of weather or other circumstances that may affect patrons or equipment.
Be knowledgeable and assist with special events as needed. Provides general resort information for guests. Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests. Addresses any guest issue promptly and with concern. Offers guests assistance resort directions, activity suggestions, etc.
Maintains constant awareness of safety issues and reports all safety incidents to recreation leadership. Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies, and equipment.
Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all La Cantera Resort and Recreation Department dress code standards. Remains alert, courteous, and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times.
Qualifications Prior hospitality experience, preferred. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must have the ability to resolve problems / conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests. Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
