The Behavioral Health Therapist position is licensed at a post-master's degree level. This counselor primarily provides brief and intensive therapy to individuals, children, adolescents, families and / or groups to ameliorate their identified problems in order to improve or restore their skills and abilities to successfully manage their lives and interact positively with their families and community.
Education : Graduation from an approved and accredited school with a master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or other related human service field.
License : Holds a current license in the State of New Mexico at the master's level such as, but not limited to, Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Experience : Completion of internships during or following attainment of the master's degree, with appropriate level of supervision.
Certification : CPR
Preferred Requirements
License : LCSW or LPCC
Experience : Experience with treatment of substance abuse.
Experience in group work and family / couples counseling.
Ability to work with children of all ages and with their families.
Bi-lingual : English / Spanish-Fluency in Spanish.
The Licensed Substance Abuse Associate is responsible for providing group counseling, individual counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy, substance abuse screenings and support services to clients following the curriculum and specifications of the agency.
Education : Associates Degree in Addiction related field.
Licensure : Licensed Substance Abuse Associate (LSAA)
Experience : One to Three years of experience working with substance abuse issues.
Preferred : Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC)
