Sweeterie Team Member

Hersheypark amusement park spans 121-acres, and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park.

Sweeterie Retail Team Members operate The Sweeterie located in Chocolatetown. This guest-facing position is responsible for customer service, operating a register, stocking baked goods and candy displays, and overall retail operations within The Sweeterie.

Job Duties :

Actively engage with guests in order to provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience

Assist guests with any questions about Sweeterie products they may have

Sell merchandise to guests by properly handling Sweeterie bakery items, following boxing procedures, and accurately entering transactions into point of sale system

Explain item ingredients, as well as allergens, upon guests’ request

Communicate with pastry kitchen staff to restock Sweeterie items as needed

Maintain cleanliness throughout the store by cleaning, sanitizing, and sweeping / mopping work areas.

Complete daily operating checklist

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Must be 16 years of age or older on the date of applying

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other employees and be able to interact with our guests

Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

Post-Employment - Must be able to obtain the ServSafe Food Safety Training Certification in collaboration with the Food & Beverage Department

Job Demands :

Ability to work a flexible schedule including, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, in accordance with Child Labor Law

Must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week, Memorial Day through Labor Day

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work at locations both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather situations is preferred

Physical requirements include standing (75-100% of the shift), sitting, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 60 lbs.
