The Business Continuity Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the resilience and operational continuity of our data center operations.
This position supports the BCDR Program by developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive business continuity plans and processes.
The BC Analyst collaborates with various departments to coordinate business continuity efforts, manage incident KPIs and deliverables, ensure compliance with audit requirements, and facilitate training and drills to prepare for potential business disruptions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan Development and Maintenance : Develop, document, and regularly update business continuity plans and disaster recovery procedures to align with industry best practices and organizational requirements.
- Stakeholder Coordination : Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and integration of business continuity strategies across all departments.
- Crisis Management : Organize and conduct Quarterly Core Crisis Management Team Meetings to review and improve crisis response strategies.
- Training and Drills : Design and facilitate training sessions, tabletop exercises, and full-scale drills to ensure organizational preparedness for emergency situations and business disruptions.
- Performance Monitoring : Continuously monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of business continuity plans, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Compliance and Audit : Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and audit requirements related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Process Improvement : Assist in the continuous enhancement of business continuity processes and systems through regular reviews, feedback collection, and implementation of best practices.
- Incident Management : Support the incident management process by tracking incident KPIs, documenting lessons learned, and contributing to post-incident analysis and reporting.
- Continuous Learning and Development : Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in business continuity and disaster recovery.
Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and training programs.
Qualifications :
- Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in business continuity management, disaster recovery, or a related field within the data center industry.
- Skills : Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Technical Proficiency : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with business continuity management platforms and tools.
- Certifications : Relevant professional certifications such as CBCP, MBCP, CRMP, CISM, CISA, CISSP are highly preferred.
- Knowledge : In-depth understanding of industry standards and best practices for business continuity and disaster recovery, including ISO 22301 and NIST frameworks.
Working Conditions :
- Environment : Standard office environment with occasional travel to data center facilities for site drills and assessments.
- Flexibility : Willingness to adjust hours and be flexible as required by the business, including potential after-hours support during incidents.
