Job Description
Classification systems include ICD-10 and CPT edition, and all coding is in accordance with official coding guidelines from the American Medical Association, the American Hospital Association, and the American Health Information Management Association.
All work is carried out in accordance with the Health Information Management Department and MUSC approved policies and procedures.

Job Description
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and credentialed as a Certified Coder by a nationally recognized accrediting body, i.
e., CPC, CPC-H, CCS. CCS-P, CSTR, RHIT, or RHIA required.
Certification must be maintained to remain a Coder II.
