Assists physical therapist or occupational therapist with patient care.
Qualifications : Required :
Required :
- High school diploma or equivalent required,
- American Heart Association CPR card required,
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office; excellent communication and organizational skills also required,
Preferred :
Basic knowledge of medical terminology a plus,
Scheduling Requirements :
This is a full time, day position, 40hours / week,
Essential Functions :
- assisting with patient transfers and mobility, pt transport, maintaining treatment area by maintaining supply and linen inventory, changing sheets and pillow cases;
- general housekeeping, retrieving and cleaning equipment including medical equipment; assist in clerical needs of department such as answering phones and taking messages;
communication with nursing or other healthcare providers; direct communication with office staff and Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy staff
