Description
Set up equipment in preparation for startup, and responsible for removing the hide and marking the right and left hock on the hog, while also being able to adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.
Responsible for setting up area with all needed equipment. Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor. Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent.
Requirements :
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- May occasionally be required to lift / carry up to 50lbs.
- Must be willing and able to complete work cycles in less than 20 seconds.
- Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
- Must operate the hock cutter.
- Must clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.
- Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods up to 12 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
- Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.
- Must be willing and able to work in a wet environment.
- Must be willing and able to complete cycles in less than 10 seconds.
Must have at least 3 months of work experience with a single employer in the last 18 months. This facility does not accept rehires.
