The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for owning, developing, and executing the day-to-day configuration, reporting, training, support, maintenance and overall improvement of the Salesforce platform.
This position will work closely with internal and external partners and participate in all phases of new implementations including planning, design, configuration, development and coding of custom objects, fields and integration points.
The Salesforce Administrator works cross functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure that Salesforce supports business requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Perform administrator functions such as user setup, creating profiles, roles, permissions, etc.
- Create reports, dashboards, custom objects and fields, page layouts, etc.
- Train internal and external users on using Salesforce functionality
- Ensure data quality by enforcing required fields, cleaning up data as necessary
- Assist with data migration and onboarding of advisor users
- Analyze and develop future needs and to oversee the buildout, implementation and project management of those needs.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and integration partners
- Understand the business process of the organization and develop workflows and process to accommodate and facilitate automating those business processes.
Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements :
- Experience with using unit testing, deploying change sets from Salesforce sandbox environments
- Familiar with common software development practices and methodologies
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Computer skills in Microsoft Suite and SalesForce. Significant knowledge of Excel required (i.e., data tables, pivot tables and formulas).
- Experience with database data manipulation and cleaning
- Writes, speaks, and presents clearly and succinctly across a variety of communication settings and adjusts communication style to audience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including heavy telephone and email communication
- Consistently takes initiative and displays a high sense of urgency and ownership
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks with superior attention to detail
- Judgment and problem-solving skills based on advanced or technical concepts
- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures tailored to the business unit
- Demonstrate initiative to address issues outside standards.
- Systems, products and process analysis, implementation and evaluation.
Education, Training and Experience :
- Some college required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2 years Salesforce.com platform administration experience is required
- Salesforce certifications are a plus
- Financial Service Cloud experience, required
