About the Role : The Electrical Engineer provides technical expertise in the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and installation of packaging equipment.
This role involves ensuring the successful installation, startup, and commissioning of equipment, often requiring travel to customer locations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide technical services for the installation, startup, and commissioning of packaging equipment.
- Perform machine testing, troubleshooting, and certification for customer acceptance.
- Design and layout electrical components and systems for packaging equipment.
- Draft electrical schematic designs, panel layouts, and develop BOMs.
- Lead electrical aspects of projects, creating and implementing control programs for PLC, HMI, motion, and message displays.
- Coordinate assembly operations during equipment construction and handle customer service calls.
- Communicate electrical design intent to customers and other departments to meet requirements.
- Obtain vendor quotations and set up parts in the ERP system.
- Maintain electrical documentation and produce detailed reports.
- Troubleshoot electrical wiring and read electrical schematics.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and protocols.
Desired Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent training and experience.
- years of engineering design experience with packaging equipment.
- years of PLC / HMI programming experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Eplan, AutoCAD, and relevant systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to use hand tools and basic electronic measuring devices.
- Understanding of networking and communication hardware and protocols.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and industry training.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements :
- Occasionally work in proximity to moving mechanical parts.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
- Occasional travel required for company business.
