Accounting Clerk to help perform some accounting functions and assist Accounting and Finance Manager with their duties. This position is responsible for keeping accurate records of both accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring that invoices are paid where necessary, and that clients pay invoices as required.
Also may need to perform additional office and / or accounting duties, as needed.
Accounting Specialist Job Responsibilities :
- Work with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and time keeping maintenance.
- Process incoming payments by check, credit card, and EFT.
- Receive, process, and reconcile Bank and Vendor statements.
- Monthly inventory data entry and material cost verification.
- Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.
- Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications for Accounting Specialist
- Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred.
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to maintain precise records.
- Proficient in MS Office and Google products such as Excel, Word & Google Docs
- 2-3 years of experience preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Can work independently and without supervision when required.
- Have experience with Quickbooks Enterprise or Quickbooks Desktop.
- Prefer experience in construction or manufacturing environments.
- 32 hour work week.
