REGISTERED NURSE - INPATIENT TRAUMA, MEDICAL, SURGICAL, REHAB MEDICINE, TELE (PER DIEM)
HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER has an outstanding opportunity for a Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our 4WH-Trauma / Rehab Medicine or 5EH-Med / Surg / Tele unit.
ABOUT HARBORVIEW'S 4WH-TRAUMA / REHAB MEDICINE UNIT
4WH (4W) - Inpatient Trauma Rehabilitation : Provides care 24 hours a day to our rehabilitation inpatients with therapy provided 3-6 hours per day, 6 days per week.
Inpatient rehabilitation is provided for stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and disease, multiple trauma, and burns.
In addition to our rehabilitation patients, we have 4 medical-surgical beds for acute care patients who are potential rehabilitation candidates but not yet ready for rehabilitation and for the post-operative stay of our sacral flap patients.
ABOUT HARBORVIEW'S 5EH-MED / SURG / TEL UNIT
5EH (5 East Hospital) - Medicine / Surgical / Telemetry : Provide quality care to a wide range of complex and acutely ill patients, primarily medicine, cardiology and surgical and vascular patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Per diem schedule
- 8 and / or 12 hour shifts
- Day, Evening and / or Night shifts
- Minimum four shifts per four-week schedule (with a potential mix of weekday and a minimum of 2 weekend shifts). ( Note : Once classroom and unit orientation has been completed (SEE BELOW).
ORIENTATION SCHEDULE - CLASSROOM & UNIT
- WEEK 1, Monday-Friday (Day Shift); Attend Mandatory Classroom Orientations - Approximately 40hrs
- WEEK 2, Unit Orientation begins - Approximately 36hrs per week
- POTENTIALLY UP THRU WEEK 5 (as needed) Unit Orientation - Approximately 36hrs per week
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of current or recent (within 1yr) high acuity inpatient nursing experience.
- An active BLS
- An active ACLS
- An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington
