Job Overview :
We seek a motivated, reliable, experienced individual to join our organization as a Food Service Associate. As part of our cafeteria team, you prepare daily items under the direction of a food service lead and according to food safety best practices.
Additionally, you stock shelves, keep all areas clean and tidy, and ring up customers on our POS system. Our ideal candidate has a valid food handler's permit, prior food service experience, and excellent customer service skills.
Job Duties :
- Prepare food items under the direction of the foodservice lead
- Observe all food safety and handling rules
- Keep food prep and public areas clean and tidy at all times
- Prep the kitchen by doing various tasks
- Assist in the cooking of meals for the dining room or catering
- Bussing tables in the dining room
- Dishwashing
- Other duties as needed
Food Service Worker Qualifications :
- No previous food serving experience required
- Able to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Great customer service skills
- Ability to obtain a Food Handlers card if you do not have one
- Will need to stand for long periods, including walking
- Lift and carry objects up to 35 pounds occasionally
