Sales at Brex

The Sales team is the driving factor behind revenue for Brex. Every member of our team directly affects our bottom line.

We focus on generating new opportunities, acquiring new customers, and building even stronger relationships with our current customers.

What you’ll do

As a Client Sales Executive at Brex, your key mission is to drive net new revenue by spearheading strategic initiatives within our customer base.

With a primary focus on managing and optimizing a portfolio of over 200 customer accounts, your role is crucial in identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and successful renewals.

Beyond the traditional scope of increasing credit card spend, your efforts will be pivotal in fostering business expansion through a diverse range of software offerings, including Expense, Travel, and Billpay solutions.

Your expertise in client relationship management will be instrumental in ensuring the sustained satisfaction, financial success, and growth of our clients, ultimately contributing to the continued success of Brex in the competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead initiatives to propel net-new revenue growth by strategically elevating spending levels on the Brex Card among our current client base
  • Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities through targeted and strategic outreach efforts
  • Champion the cross-selling of our cutting-edge Spend Management software, encompassing Expense Management, Billpay, and Travel solutions, to diversify and enhance our clients' financial operations
  • Engage with CFOs and finance leaders regularly, serving as a trusted advisor to provide expert consultation on optimizing financial operations through the seamless integration of our innovative solutions
  • Formulate and execute strategic plans geared towards enhancing the overall client experience, encompassing improvements in product features and implementation processes

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in sales roles within B2B SaaS OR Payments companies
  • Proficient in creating and executing strategic outreach plans, particularly in pipeline generation
  • Demonstrates a proactive and results-driven mindset, with a dedicated focus on achieving and surpassing revenue targets
  • Proven track record of consistently surpassing revenue targets and quotas
  • Recognized for sustained high performance, consistently ranking in the top 10% of stack rankings
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, demonstrated in both written and verbal forms

Bonus points

  • Expertise in credit card management, encompassing a deep understanding of limits, rewards, and underwriting
  • Familiarity with software solutions, especially in areas such as Expense Management, Travel, and Billpay
  • Previous experience in implementing successful upselling and cross-selling strategies
  • Keen awareness of the competitive landscape, industry trends, and market dynamics.
  • A background in handling renewals, ensuring customer retention, and minimizing churn

Compensation

The expected OTE range for this role is $165,432 USD - $206,790 USD. The starting wage will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity.

The OTE figure listed here includes base salary and commissions, which may or may not be earned depending on performance.

Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
