JOB SUMMARY
This job is responsible for the operation and alignment of direct reports within budgetary and strategic constraints. This includes planning, organizing, and controlling their resources to ensure that proper skill to task alignment is carried out, for the most effective and efficient completion of tasks.
A key focus of this position level is implementation of tactical action plans to support day to day and near term objectives.
Managers are to ensure that policies and procedures that have been developed by leadership are adhered to, and carried out by their direct reports.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to : involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.
Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary;
may have budgetary responsibility and authority.
Ensures that operational, and strategic, policies are followed, and respective business objectives are achieved.
Manages, and controls, activities within multi-functional areas or sections.
Oversees a team that handles a number of projects, processes, or programs varying in complexity- and requiring an adept technical / business expertise.
Focuses on best practices and process improvements ensuring effective execution of operational plan and meeting company requirements.
Plans, implements, and maintains budget for functional area or sections.
Inspires and engages team to deliver with a sense of urgency on expected results.
Works cross-functionally to drive execution and hold teams accountable for their deliverables.
Provides regular updates to leadership, and highlight critical issues that have arisen from the supervisors for input or executive / leadership buy-in.
Management of end-to-end workflows to ensure operational excellence, as well as the appropriate tracking of process KPIs.
Ensures quality, and compliance, from themselves and their collective team members.
Other duties as assigned or requested.
EDUCATION
Required
Bachelor's Degree
Substitutions
6 years of related and progressive experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree

EXPERIENCE
Required
7 years in Strategic Planning, Technology, Project Management, or Program Management
3 years in a leadership or management role
Preferred
5 years in the Healthcare or Health Insurance Industry
