Position : Quality Inspector
Location : Wichita, KS
Duration : 6 months with potential extension
Schedule : Monday-Friday (8) hr shifts with possible overtime
Pay Rate : BOE Ranging from $30.00-$33.00 / hr
Job Summary :
As the Quality Inspector you will utilize inspection equipment to validate conformance of machined components thru manufacturing process.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Perform First Piece, In-Process and Final Inspection activities
- Inspect Certificates of Conformance from material, external suppliers, and other service providers to ensure these items conform to customers purchase order requirements and specifications
- Perform a wide variety of conventional / traditional inspection operations utilizing various inspection techniques
- Assist machinists in quality-related activities
Preferred Qualifications :
- Min 5-10 years of practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on various commodities, including but not limited to Machined parts, Assemblies and Sub-Assemblies.
- Understand Aerospace standards, such as but not limited to, AS9100, AS9102, ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
- Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Experience using various mechanical inspection tools
- Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard
Must Be Able To :
- Work in fast paced manufacturing environment
- Provide PPE as required per supplier policies
- Stand, sit, bend, kneel or maneuver as required to complete inspection
