Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector for a long-term day shift opportunity with a plastics manufacturer in Tigard, OR.
The Mechanical Quality Inspector is responsible for quality checks of products and parts made internally, and those received from vendors as a sub-assembly for production.
PAY : $21-$24.00 / hr
Mechanical Quality Inspector Responsibilities :
Inspect products delivered by Production to QC staging area to ensure conformance with drawings, instructions, and specifications
Report nonconformities to QC / QA Manager, Supervisor and / or Production Manager
Perform testing as required including hydrostatic, electrical, pressure, and continuity.
Calibration experience
Follow incoming receiving inspection guidelines
Update nonconformities master file
Perform additional duties like handling, cleaning, and part engraving required prior to sending products to Shipping Department
Perform appropriate data entry and documentation
Keep tools and instruments in order and good shape
Maintenance and organization of the QC area
Other duties as requested.
Mechanical Quality Inspector Qualifications :
- 2+ years of experience performing quality control functions
- Hydrostatic testing experience
- Pressure testing experience (2 PSI to 300 PSI)
- Proficient math skills
- Knowledge of inspection instruments
- Ability to read drawings
- Ability to follow instructions and specifications
- Standard computer skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Good written and communication skills
- Detail oriented, responsible and dependable
- Ability to stand at workstation for designated shift
- Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen including testing for THC.
