The R&D Sourcing and Contracting Associate willbe responsible for assistance in the preclinical / researchclinical sourcing in support of client global Phase IIV clinicaltrials and other ad hoc projects in the VendorOutsourcing department.
This position willfocus primarily on supporting clinical operations specialty laboratory and functional servicesincluding sourcing and contract negotiation.
Thisperson must be familiar with contracting framework and generallegal terms.
Must be able to review contracts quicklyand to negotiate business terms and support negotiation of legalterms.
Strong organizational skills are a must toensure appropriate cataloging of terms and conditions into adatabase.
The Associate may assist in the entire lifecycle of vendor selection including RFIRFP vendor selection decision contractnegotiation managing the change order process andensuring proper closeout of agreements.
Assists other Vendor Outsourcing staff in resolving moderatelycomplex issues relating to contract negotiation or management and with the support of internalcustomers and the Legal department assists in the contractnegotiation process especially with less complex or lowvalue contracts.
Has excellent communication skills andis comfortable interacting with internal and external teams such asclinical operations finance legal business conduct vendormanagement and payments.
Completes tasks and projectsunder minimal supervision and has the ability to managing competingpriorities effectively and proficiently.
