Position Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year.
The ideal candidate will work closely with a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in improving their communication skills.
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives in a supportive and dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in providing speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Implement and follow individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Support classroom teachers with strategies to improve student communication.
- Collect and record data on student progress.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other school staff.
Qualifications :
- Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field.
- Valid SLPA license in the state of California.
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
