Position Qualifications :
- Minimum Education : Degree in Pharmacy (i.e., B.S. or Pharm D.) from a school or college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) is required
- Minimum Experience :
- Minimum of four years pharmacy work experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in multiple areas of pharmacy (ie, outpatient, clinic, inpatient) preferred.
- License, Certification, Registration :
- Licensure in the State of Alaska is required.
- Be certified, or eligible to be certified, in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
- Specialized Knowledge and Skills :
- Proficiency with MS-Excel, Word, Pyxis, PickPoint, ScriptPro, Cerner Millennium applications, Cerner Retail Pharmacy (Etreby), and KRONOS iSeries Timekeeping systems.
- Computer / Office Machine skills : Ability to type 40 wpm, operate 10-key calculator and other standard office equipment.
- Reasoning Ability :
- Ability to solve practical problems and manage a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardized exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
- Ability to make decisions in a timely manner on limited but adequate information.
- Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Assumes the responsibilities of the Director of Pharmacy in his / her absence.
- Directly supervises departmental staff (pharmacists as well as technicians and other support staff)
